Aftercare:

Washing your tattoo:

  • Your artist will send you home with a wrapped bandage. It Is Important to keep this on until you get home. Before removing your bandage, wash your hands with anti-bacterial soap. When washing your tattoo, use lukewarm water and a liquid anti-bacterial fragrance-free soap.  Gently wash using only your hands. Do not scrub with anything other than your hands. Wash your tattoo 3 times a day (morning, afternoon, and before bed.

Moisturizing:

  • Do not apply any lotions or balms to your tattoo for a minimum of 3 days. After the 3 days if you decide to use lotion only apply a small thin layer to the tattooed area. It is important to not suffocate your new tattoo and trap excess moisture. Only use fragrance free products.

Scabbing:

  • Scabbing is completely normal. It is important to not pick at any scabs that form and allow them to fall off naturally. Picking at scabs can cause the ink to be pulled out of the skin. Moisturizing with a thin layer of your preferred fragrance free lotion can help any itching and dryness you may feel.

Things to avoid:

  • NO strenuous exercise for at least the first couple days of healing. Avoid excessive sweating and bending/stretching of the tattooed area

  • NO swimming whatsoever or soaking your tattoo for a minimum of two weeks.

  • NO hot showers as this could irritate your tattoo.

  • NO picking or scratching. Picking or scratching at any scabs that may form will cause ink to fall out of the tattoo. Allow them to fall off naturally.

  • Avoid tight clothing. Give your tattoo room to breathe.

  • Avoid direct sun exposure as much as possible while your tattoo is healing.
